Today we walked up Jack and Jill Hill. The walk was extremely rocky terrain and we kept on slipping on the rocks. When we got to the top we could see all of Mount Little Station.

On the way down we could not find the path so we had to weave our way down the mountain. The next day we went on a walk to some Aboriginal rock art. The local Aboriginal tribes believed that Yurlu the king fisher left his home at karkarlpunha (Termination Hill) to attend a ceremony at Ikara. He lit fires to tell them he was coming. Forming coal desposits at leigh creek in the Flinders Ranges. At the same time that he left his home to Akurra left their home in Arrunha Akurra Awi and approached Ikara. The Akurra entered Ikara by Ediowi George. The following morning they cut steps in the hills on the north-western end of the range to see what was happening. People had gathered at Ikara for the ceremony. When they looked up they mistook the eyes of the Akurra for the stars. When the ceremony began the Akurra split up, planning to surround the people. One serpent Ngarnangarrinha went to the north-west and the other the south-east. They stirred up wirlwinds and in the confusion they ate all the people except wallha the wild bush turkey. He flew away and turned into a big rock and the two serpents bodies formed the Flinders Rangers Mountains.

That night we had amazing wood fire pizzas. The best pizza was easily the desert pizza
