Margaret River (28/11/2023 – 1/12/2023)

In Margaret River we went to the chocolate factory, a venison farm and Vasse Virgin. At the venison farm we bought lots of things in the shop like salami, chorizo and sausages. When we went to the chocolate factory I had a google meet with my class, then we went inside and ate some yummy chocolate. At Vasse Virgin they sold lots of soap and other body products. We got to taste the vinegars and jams which I really liked. We bought a honey balsamic vinegar and a jam. Whilst we were there Mia and I got to use the products to wash our hands and arms with the lady. Afterwards they felt super duper smooth. We also visited an artisan butcher and bought lots of different meats that were delicious. After collecting lots of cheeses and other foods in Margaret River and Bunbury, we had a few picnics.

The following day we went to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse. Cape Leeuwin lighthouse is the biggest lighthouse in mainland Australia and also at the most southwest corner of mainland Australia. Cape Leeuwin lighthouse is still a working lighthouse. We went inside and got to climb to the top. It was very windy. After Cape Leeuwin lighthouse we went to Augusta to go fishing. When we were fishing I caught 3 pinky snapper and 1 black bream. Mia caught 1 black bream and 2 pinky snapper. Dad caught 1 whiting and 4 pinky snapper. There was a pelican that kept trying to eat our fish.

On our last day we made a Christmas tree out of sticks. We used fishing leader to hold the sticks together so we could hang it up. We decorated it with lights and little baubles.

Isaac, the foods you purchased sound yummy and would make a great picnic😊 my type of eating- yummo! Did you eat the fish you caught? If so, which has the nicest taste or flavour? View from the lighthouse must have been great. Thanks for sharing. Live Aunty Kate 😘

Very busy in Margaret River. I hope you still have some of the honey balsamic vinegar left so Grandma can try it. I will get the bread for it. The lighthouse looks very big. Hope you saw some great views. Yummy chocolate factory I bet both you and Mia ate heaps of it. Fishing again. At least you caught lots of fish.
