Walpole (2/12/2023 – 3/12/2023)

When we were driving into Walpole it was really smoky because they were doing controlled burning. We set up then drove out to the Valley of the Giants and did the treetop walk. We saw lots of tingle trees. A tingle tree only grows in this area and are very old. After the treetop walk we stopped at the giant tingle tree. We got to walk through the red tingle tree. Red tingle trees have big bases and can split at the bottom so you can walk through them. When we got back we did some fishing on the jetty and didn’t catch much fish.

Wow! I wonder why tingle trees are only found in that area? I have done a tree top walk and they are great – although can be a bit scary when so high above the ground… they are certainly very big trees. Love the description for a Grandma Tingle – gnarled and wrinkled! As if!!! Love Aunty Kate xx

Do you know what sort of tree the Tingle tree is Issac. They are so big. If it was raining it would be a good place to stay dry. Tree top walk Did mummy do it with you all. She was very brave if she did. More fishing. You must really love it now.
