At Exmouth when Dad went in to get a campsite there was no unpowered sites so he was considering a power site but in the end we got a cabin that is more like a mini house.
We went fishing at a Jetty but it was too busy so we drove down to the creek and caught lots of little bream. We brought home one bream and one whiting. On the way back we saw two dolphins.
The next day we went to the Exmouth Aquarium. We saw lots of cool fish and a couple of sharks. Hanging from the roof was a life size whale shark sculpture made of metal dots. Each whale shark has its own unique dot pattern like a human’s finger print. This sculpture was a model of a whale shark called Stumpy. At the end we saw a gallery filled with photographs of turtles and whale sharks. In the centre there was a turtle made of a big net that they found in the water. When they got it into the boat and opened up the net to make sure that there were no animals in it they found a flipper and started hurrying in the hope that the turtle was still alive but in the end they found the turtle had died a long time ago. After the Aquarium we visited the giant prawn.
I really enjoyed Exmouth I wish we could stay longer. The cabin was really nice to stay in after staying in the camp trailer and tent for so long.
