Travelling To Mataranka

On Monday we had officially been on our trip for 4 weeks. We packed up the camp trailer and drove out of the caravan park and started driving to Devils Marbles campground. On the way we stopped at the tropic of Capricorn. The tropic of Capricorn is called the tropic of Capricorn because when it was named it was facing the star constellation Capricornus. When we got to Devils Marbles we decided to go on a walk. The walk was extremely short. It was only 800 and something metres long, the walk was enjoyable. When we got back to the car we decided that the the Devils Marbles Campground didn’t look very good so we decided to stop at Tennet Creek instead. When we got to Tennet Creek we decided that there was no point stopping and then driving for only 1 hour and 30 minutes the next day so we kept driving to Banka Banka West Station. Next we set up,  had dinner and went to sleep.

On Tuesday we packed up the camp trailer and started driving to Daly Water caravan park. When we arrived we set up the camp trailer and went to the pool. When we got out of the pool we walked over to the pub and had dinner. I had fish and chips while the owner of the place talked about the history of the place that was inaccurate then a musician played some strange country music and then we went to bed.

Next we are going to Mataranka

What are mud nests? It sounds like you’ve had a fantastic first month away.

Mud nests are made by a type of bird. They kind of look like termite mounds with holes in the top. They also kind lf look like wasp nests.
