Wuggubun (1/10/2023-2/10/2023)

When we were staying at Wuggubun we drove to Wyndham and had lunch at the croc bakery. We had a barramundi pie, croc pie and a sausage roll. The barramundi pie tasted like plain pie with white sauce. I didn’t like the barramundi pie. After we had lunch we went out to a pier and me and Dad went fishing and the water was dirty and we caught nothing while Mia and Mum read some books. The pier went up and down with the tides and Dad got a huge birds nest (a birds nest is when the wind ties the fishing line in a big knot) and had to cut off all of his line. Next we went to see the biggest Boob (boab) tree and the prison Boob tree. The prison boab tree is a big hollow tree where prisoners would stop and camp before reaching Wyndham. When we arrived back at camp we went for a swim in the water whole next to the campsite. The swimming hole was shallow but refreshing and we saw a little snake swimming across the water.

Next we are going to Purnululu National Park.

A snake near the swimming Yekk. Grandma would not have liked that. Did you eat the crododile pie. You will need to let me know how that tasted. You are quite a fisherman now. Love Grandma xx

The croc pie tasted like a normal pie but with carrot and some kind of white sauce

That is a very big tree- very hard to give it a hug. So many new foods to eat. A little snake – is there such a thing??!!! Scary I say. Keep having fun. Xxx Aunty Kate
